ADMINISTRATION
Kris Moore – Executive Director
I am thankful for the opportunity to work with such wonderful residents and an amazing staff. Walton Home is a wonderful place to live and work, and I feel very blessed to be here. Walton Home has thrived in the quiet and personable village of Barnesville since 1944. This is good testimony of our commitment to serving others. Please come for a visit and find out for yourself why choosing Walton for you or your family’s needs in aging needs makes so much sense.
Nancy N. – RN – Nursing Manager
To me warmth and love stand out at The Walton Retirement Home, as comfort and well-being are priority. I feel blessed to work in a caring environment with experienced staff who feel our residents are “family”, dedicated to serving together to provide highly personalized quality care, giving respect and compassion with joy and laughter in a family atmosphere-their home.
CARE STAFF
Sue C. – Aide
I truly like working with the elderly. It is close to my home area and the staff and administration are all good.
Sandy D. – STNA
I love working at Walton Home because everyone gets along with each other, and you can tell they care about the residents. I think the care here is far better than the care they would ever receive in a nursing home.
Jennifer L. – STNA
I like the people (staff) – everyone is helpful and good to work with. There are a lot of great residents (which helps when others are not so great). I feel comfortable talking to administrative staff. Everyone is always helpful.
Susan M. – LPN/Assistant Nursing Manager
Each of our residents are unique and special. They make me smile every day. I love working at such a wonderful place.
DIETARY
Jean Roe – Dietary
I like working at The Walton Home because I enjoy taking care of people. I no longer have grandparents, but here it’s like having 20 grandparents. Being around them is very enjoyable and I hope I’m making their stay here better.
SUPPORT STAFF
Rachel Leek – Activities Director
There’s so much to like about Walton. I personally love the family feel we have here. The staff and the residents rarely see the line that divides them as Staff and Resident. We laugh and cry together, we joke and play around and have fun almost every day. Yes, there is the professionalism all staff need in the workplace, but there’s a healthy amount of fun and relaxation that the residents get to see from the staff that make them feel more like a friend rather than just someone taking care of them. I think that the residents like that too. I feel like they don’t feel like there somewhere for elderly, they feel like they’re home, surrounded by new friends and family.
