What is assisted living?
If you are looking for a way to get the most out of your days but are struggling with daily routine activities, then our assisted living accommodations may be your answer. Keeping the house clean, staying caught up on the laundry, addressing maintenance problems, preparing meals, and taking your medicines consistently are all important for a healthy lifestyle. These simple chores often become a source of worry when they are no longer easily accomplished. Walton provides you with an atmosphere free from the concerns of the common household and gives you the personal assistance you need in a warm and loving environment.
Upon returning from a hospital or rehabilitation stay, your physician may also recommend assisted living as an alternative when it would be best to have a greater support network than one may currently have at home.
We believe a healthy lifestyle is greatly dependent upon many things. One of those items, although often overlooked, is well balanced meals. We provide three wholesome, home-cooked meals, served in a family atmosphere. An evening snack served to your room is provided, with additional snacks available upon request. Special considerations are also provided to those recovering from illness or similar circumstances.
Our nursing staff is well attentive to the health of our residents. Regular medical assessments are conducted to ensure that our residents enjoy the greatest level of health and well-being possible. Appropriate attention will be given to any medical needs that may arise. According to physician’s orders, the Clinical Manager and the nursing staff will distribute medications, and order refills when necessary. Our attendants assist with medication around the clock, according to the guidelines established by the Department of Health.
Individual laundry service and room cleaning are provided. Personal Hygiene assistance is available to those who may need help with daily dressing and bathing. Our Wireless Call System provides assurance and security to our residents day and night. Bed checks are also performed every two hours during the night.
Activities are planned to ensure not only entertainment but also interaction with others. This encourages residents to build new friendships and gives a greater sense of community. Our activities are geared to help the body and uplift the soul. All residents are encouraged to participate. Exercise, music, crafts, bingo, reminiscing, singing, worshiping together or participating in the Bible Study, are all ways we strive to help the residents to live as fulfilling and wholesome a life as possible.
